An action Plan for Heat Control in Thane City has been prepared by Thane Municipal Corporation. The publication of this plan was done on March 6, 2024 by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
In this plan, the TMC has collected the information ward wise. According to the collected scientific information, more heat will be felt in the Wagle Ward Committee area.

Accordingly, measures will be put in place for citizens to deal with the threat of immediate heatstroke. According to the questionnaire prepared by Thane Municipal Corporation, Council on Energy Environment and Water, a social, economic and health survey will be conducted.
This survey will be conducted in slums, residential complexes, schools, hospitals with the help of Asha Sevaks from March 20 to March 30. Thane Municipal Corporation has appealed to citizens to cooperate in this survey activity.
