Uniqlo, the popular Japanese clothing company, is gearing up to open its first physical store in Mumbai. The much-anticipated store will make its city debut on October 6 at Phoenix Marketcity in Kurla. Uniqlo expressed great excitement about this significant milestone, emphasising its commitment to the Indian market.
Having served Mumbai customers through its e-commerce platform, Uniqlo is now eagerly looking forward to connecting with them in person. This store will be Uniqlo's 11th brick-and-mortar location in India. Initially, the company focused on opening stores in northern Indian cities like Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Delhi-NCR.
The new Uniqlo store in Mumbai will offer a wide range of LifeWear lines for men, women, children, and babies. It will feature everything from trendy and comfortable casual apparel to essential winter clothing items such as jackets and inners.
Uniqlo's decision to introduce online commerce to India during the pandemic was well received. Earlier this year, the company even opened its first highway store in Dhillon Plaza, Zirakpur, Punjab, further expanding its physical presence in the country.
With over 2,400 locations globally, Uniqlo is a major player in the competitive fashion industry, challenging brands like H&M, Gap, and Zara. The company began in Hiroshima in 1984.
