Goregaon- The adivasi Warli community held the traditional haldi-kumkum ceremony at Goregaon’s Nimbar Pada unit no. 7 on Sunday.
This was organsied by Warli Adivasi Seva Mandal president Sugandha Shetty. MNS general secretary Shalini Thackeray was present as a chief guest at the function that is attended by women, who exchange the traditional 'tilgul' on the occasion of Makar Sankrant and give each other token gifts.
The attendees wore sarees of the same colour and performed folk dances and songs to liven up the celebrations.
