Mahalaxmi - Usually, the day at King Memorial V of Anand Niketan, an orphanage home of physically challenged, starts with breakfast, meditation and praising god. But, during Ganesh festival, it’s all excitement. Vasant who is physically challenged makes the idol and to that of soil. Anand Niketan is a home to 60 orphaned & physically challenged youngsters and senior citizens are celebrating Ganesh festival. These all celebrate 10 days of Ganesh festival with fervor and enthusiasm. The best part is that they immerse the idol in an orphanage itself by creating the artificial pond.
Anand Niketan was formed in 1938 and since then it has become a hub of 11 NGO’s which deals with orphans, physically handicap, blind people etc.
