Wadala- SIWS college students in Wadala celebrated Pongal on Friday. Pongal is one of the most important festivals celebrated by Tamil people. Pongal is mainly celebrated to convey appreciation to the Sun God for providing the energy for agriculture. Students were dressed in traditional clothes. They cooked kheer in the college premises and distributed to everyone. Present to celebrate the festival were dignitaries including Zone- IV Deputy Commissioner N. Ambika.
