Indians abroad celebrate festivals with enthusiasm in their respective countries. Like every other year, this year in Diwali, a young man from Badlapur will be providing traditional decorations in the Gulf countries including America, England and Australia. Nimesh Janwad from Badlapur has sent lakhs of diyas to different countries this year as well. Janwad also exports thousands of Ganesha idols and other festival paraphernalia to foreign countries.


Nimesh Janwad started manufacturing and exporting all Indian festival items through Chintamani Creations on a pilot basis a few years ago. For the recently concluded Ganeshotsav, Nimesh Janwad sent more than 70,000 eco-friendly Ganesha idols, big and small, to various countries around the world. Ganesh idols are exported from the month of March to the end of July. All these idols are sent to different countries by waterways. This includes various countries like America, Australia, Dubai, Canada, England, Singapore, South Africa, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Mauritius, Japan.

After Ganeshotsav, important festivals such as Navratri, Dussehra and Diwali are widely celebrated abroad. This year as well through Chintamani Creations, beautiful diyas of different shapes and sizes of clay have been sent abroad for Navratri, Dussehra and Diwali. Between twelve and fifteen lakhs of various sets of different sizes of diyas have been shipped this year.


Through Chintamani Creation, diya is produced with the help of local women which in turn creates lot of employment opportunities for home makers.
