The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has declared that over 29 bridges in Mumbai are unsafe and require urgent demolition. However, the reconstruction will commence only after the monsoon. The Ganpati mandals have been sent a notice that they cannot use these bridges and that the procession should be small with only 10-12 members if they use any alternative bridge. The civic authorities have further instructed that the people cannot dance on any bridge.

Even though the arrival processions are being held on different days, there have been huge issues with traffic. The visarjan for all these mandals will be on September 12 and therefore, there are high chances that for some mandals it can be delayed.
