This year, this Sarvajanik Ganapati will celebrate one of the country's popular achievement, Chandrayaan 2. In the backdrop behind the idol, will be visuals of Chandrayaan 2 and space. In a recently held event, the theme of this year, along with this year's idol was revealed, where many media professionals were invited to seek his first blessings. The event began in a dramatic manner along with the smoke effects and visuals behind Bappa focusing on the space, planets and a lot more related subjects. His attire during this event was also designed keeping the Chandrayaan 2 theme in mind.
The association will also mark 86th Ganeshotsav celebrations this year and will carry forward the traditions just like every year. Lalbaugcha Raja will also be the last Ganpati to bid farewell to the city, and the visarjan of the idol will be done at Girgaon Chaupaty.
