Kumbarwada - Diwali is just around the corner and this is apparent if you stroll by Dharavi Kumbharwada which is flooded with earthen diyas of different shapes, designs, and size. You can buy them at the throwaway prices which means plain diyas for 30 Rs per dozen. Painted and decorated diyas are avialable for 10 Rs a pair. For wholesalers, the rate is 7 Rs for the pair of decorated ones. Most of the vendors from Mumbai buy diyas from Dharavi Kumbharwada.
