The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to implement one-window system for pandal permission so that the mandals do not have to separately apply to police, traffic police and fire brigade.
This system will be make it easy for Mandals to acquire permissions for erecting pandals without the hassle. Online permissions on their official website for setting up Ganpati pandals on city roads will be granted from August 1, the BMC said on Tuesday, July 25.
Under this, applications can be submitted from August 1 to September 13, 2023 up to 5.00 pm on the link https://portal.mcgm.gov.in > Select Tab for Citizens > Apply > Mandap (Ganesh/Navaratri Festival) > Download the form and fill in the details opened on the page.
Pandal permission will be given free of cost, but they will have to pay a security deposit of INR 1,000.
With the application, mandals will have to give an undertaking that they will follow all the rules of erecting a pandal. A sample of this undertaking must be downloaded from the website and submitted along with the application along with the signatures of the concerned parties.
