With this thought in mind, Our Children, an NGO which is located in Dadar work towards the betterment of underprivileged children, especially orphans since the last 49 years in partnership with Child Welfare Institutions across Mumbai.

They implemented a very simple idea which no one had attempted before. Raksha Bandhan was celebrated among orphan kids where they tied each other rakhis. This not only made them happy but also introduced them to a person whom they could consider as their sibling.

The event was organised at a grand scale with over 350 plus participants, staff and leaders from institutions as well as eminent social workers including Dhananjay Mehta, Kalyani Nair and Tanuja Shetty.
