The priests here say that devotees donate gold and silver out of faith.

Ganesha devotees come from far and wide to have darshan of this Ganesha, who is known as Suvarna Ganesha. Every year Ganpati is insured by the board but this year the insurance amount has broken all records. GSB Ganpati Seva Mandal, known as the richest Ganpati of Mumbai, has been insured with INR 360 crore 40 lakh this year.
