On the occasion of Diwali, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari distributed sky lanterns and eco-friendly bamboo lamps to all the Raj Bhavan staff members and their families on Monday, November 1.

Moreover, tribal women from various villages in Palghar district, who works for ‘Seva Vivek’ (Vivek Rural Development Centre), a social organisation based in Virar, made Bamboo Diwali lamps to lit up the Raj Bhavan.

This is the second year when these lamps will be lighting up the Raj Bhavan complex.

In addition, staff members and their family had laid colourful Rangolis on the occasion. Later, the Governor distributed prizes to the winners of Rangoli competition.
