Mahim- Ramkrishna Mission celebrated 154th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 12th January 2017. The programme was carried out at Swami Vivekananda garden nearby Mahim Causeway. During this occasion, BMC’s deputy commissioner Anand Wagralkar was present as a chief guest. Along with this, Ramkrishna Mission’s leaders and students were also present.
On this occasion, an elocution completion was also organized wherein 150 school students participated. In this competition, Vidhi Yadav, 9th-grade student of Seven Square Academy school came first while 5th-grade student Tanisha Pethe of Jamnabai Narsee school came second and 10th-grade student Parth Gedia came third. These speeches were delivered in all three languages i.e. Hindi, Marathi, and English.
During this programme, BMC’s deputy commissioner Anand Wagralkar expressed his views. “Today’s youth should follow Swami Vivekanand’s teachings,” he said.
