Borivali police are in search of three accused of hitting a shopkeeper at Borivali’s Tata Power House. One of the accused is Ramesh Gawali who have been charged under sections 326, 324, 504, 506, 506 (2), 34 of IPC.


On 12 March, Ramesh Gawali came to Laxman Gowda’s shop which is situated at Borivali’s Tata Power House. He demanded Laxman to give him Rs. 500 but Laxman’s brotherPunit gave him Rs. 50 instead. Accused Gawli took the Rs. 50 and threatened Punit that he will come back and left the shop. After half an hour, Gawli came back at the shop and asked for a packet of salt. Punit then asked for the money. Enraged Gawli and his friends started hitting Punit and also used knife. Along with Punit, they also hit his small brother and his mother. Punit got injured and admitted at Shatabdi hospital. Post the assault all three accused fled the spot and now are on run.
