Girgaum - The Dussehra festival marked the end of the nine-day long Navratri festival. Strict police bandobast on Tuesday night in the areas of Girgaum Chowpatty and Haji Ali ensured that the immersion process went off smoothly. Police had forbidden revelers from eating on the beach, and mandals were prohibited from while away time on the shores after the idol immersions.
