Mahim- The 10 day long Urs fest and fair at the Makhdoom Ali Shah Mahimi dargah, a much awaited festival by Muslims from all over India, gets underway today.
People from faiths and walks of life visit this shrine during this fair which will begin on 13 December and go on till 23 December. For the first time ever, a live telecast of the festivities at the dargah has been planned. A live feed from the dargah will be aired exclusively on Mumbai Live from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm on Tuesday.
As per tradition, the Mumbai police will be the first to offer the chaddar to the shrine and seek blessings.
