Coffee By Di Bella resumes operations in Bandra

Due to the lockdown, many F&B chains too were forced to shut down. There was a growing concern on how they would manage to sustain operations along with ensuring the safety of their staff. While the number of cases in Mumbai is nowhere near flattening out, some of the chains have decided to resume operations. 

One such chain is the premium coffee brand, Coffee By Di Bella. Since the only option available at the moment is to offer home delivery, the brand has partnered with Swiggy and Zomato to deliver Coffees & Waffles deliveries from its Bandra outlet. 

For now, folks in Bandra, Khar & Santacruz. can relish Coffee By Di Bella's freshly baked Rocky Road Waffle, Dark Hot Chocolate, Iced Latte, Di Bellaccino, to name a few.

In addition to this, Coffee By Di Bella plans to take start its Santacruz, Juhu, Versova & Lokhandwala outlets from May 10. Furthermore, post-May 10, they will be looking at opening another batch of five outlets and so on. 

We reached out to Coffee By Di Bella in regards to their approach to open these outlets (delivery only). While speaking to Mumbai Live, Rahul Leekha, Director, Coffee By Di Bella India said that they had been getting constant requests from customers to start operations. "Millennials which form a large part of our customer base don't really have functional kitchens at home and are majorly dependent on outside food.  To cater to their needs, we decided to open our outlets via delivery model. Also, as the products on our menu is designed to undergo high preparation temperatures (100* for Coffees & 180* for Waffles) it is a safe option to order," he added. 

For this lockdown, Coffee By Di Bella also has an Alternative Brewing Menu on its offering. Alternative Brewing is a technique of manually brewing coffee to highlight various properties of coffee like body, acidity, endnotes etc. The beverages are processed through high temperature and are the smoothest way to have a crisp cup of coffee.

Alternative Brewing Methods- (menu attached)

Cold Brew Coffee - Cold Black Coffee steeped overnight for 18 hours to produce a sweet, smooth and refreshing iced coffee. Brewed using our premium blend.

Pourover Coffee- Hot water poured over ground coffee to provide good clarity of flavour-smooth, clean and ideal to sip on without adding milk.Brewed using our Sydney blend

Iced Pourover Coffee-Our hand-brewed pour-over coffee. Brewed over ice. Brewed using our Sydney blend

Syphon Coffee-A vaccum pressured coffee. Looks like a science experiment. Brewed using our Sydney blend

Aeropress Coffee- Coffee brewed with gentle air pressure through a microfilter. Brewed using our Sydney blend

Speaking to Mumbai Live, Rahul also mentioned how the health and safety their staff and customers are of utmost importance to Coffee By Di Bella. He mentioned that they are following stringent global health safety protocols.

Rahul said, "In order to adhere to the best global practises and minimise outside elements such as raw vegetables, local produce & ingredients into the preparation area, we are not be serving food products such as sandwiches puff's, salads, meals, etc. We are only serving speciality coffees & freshly basked waffles. In addition to this, there are regular temperature screening for the staff, who are also provided with medical-grade gloves, masks, sanitizers and face shields. The entire premise is sanitised every 30 minutes".
