Are curd and yogurt the same?
Curd and yogurt are not the same at all. Curd and yogurt are both dairy products. However, the method of making these two is completely different. Curd is made at home by adding natural acidic ingredients. But yogurt cannot be made like this. Yogurt is made by adding artificial acid and goes through a lot of processing. So, it is not possible to make yogurt at home.

Yogurt contains lactic acid bacteria and curd is made by using this bacteria. The amount of bacteria in the curd depends on how much we add it to the curd. Lactobacillus Bulgaris and Streptococcus thermophilus bacteria are used in yogurt. This is why curd and yogurt both look different.
