A revolutionary concept, YOUnion introduces many 'firsts' to the Indian marketplace, such as the country’s largest menu dedicated entirely to shots; a live Instagram wall; entirely customised bar-ware; the city’s most expansive coffee menu, with over 50 kinds of brews available all day, and a delightfully carnival-like vibe, that will transport patrons from the moment they enter. The unspoken ‘dress code’ encourages guests to be so laid back, that those who visit the bar in formal clothing will be given ‘joker jackets’ as a result! Entirely youth-centric with a focus on fun and comfort, the new space encourages guests to kick back and relax, while enjoying the vast variety of food and drink on offer.

The drinks menu at YOUnion has been curated by Barnaby Ingram and Dino Koletsas of Dare Hospitality, which creates beverage concepts for prestigious hotel groups and top independent operators, around the world. These include the award-winning Milk & Honey cocktail bars (in London and New York) and The Langham Hotel, home to the previous world’s best bar for 4 years running. Dare collaborates extensively with Massive Restaurants as their exclusive bar consultants for all their projects in India and around the world, including Massive Restaurant’s first foray into the London market with Farzi Café.

YOUnion’s interiors have been built with the current generation in mind, and painstakingly designed by Massive Restaurants’ in-house designer, Aayushi Malik. Every square inch is pleasantly Instagrammable and is packed with fun and innovative design elements. Even before entering, guests will be greeted by a graffiti façade (this also extends into the interiors), inspired by a theme of mystical landscapes.

YOUnion is the most ‘non-serious’ concept we have ever developed. We’re acutely aware of the growing importance of the millennial generation and were keen to offer them a product that really caters to their preferences. The major USP’s of the venue have a direct, cultural link to the youth of today. Our bar program is also bound to disrupt the scene in India, as we know it.

The bar is divided into four zones – Zone 1 is The Flamingo Room, which sports a pink and gold, high-gloss ceiling, tropical print wall art, and a metal foliage installation. Standing lamps adorned with faux pink flamingo feathers cast a welcoming glow. Zones 2 & 3 are The Enchanted Jungle, which features dense, artificial foliage cascading down from the ceiling, a gold cage (which also serves as a perfect photo opp), tall palm planters, and tropical prints & neons everywhere. The space also boasts magic mirrors, with twigs and plants creeping up them, creating a further sense of mystical illusion.  Zone 4 is The Outdoor Balcony, offers the creatively-minded patron an opportunity to express themselves, by drawing and painting at a paint booth installed in the area. An air hockey table allows guests to stay active and challenge friends to a friendly match. Over the bar, a vast installation of dense, floral landscaping is suspended, adding to the lush feel of the space.
