Striker Manuel D’Souza struck the decisive lone goal, which helped U Mumba FC overcome Mumbai Customs 1-0 in an Elite Division Group-A play-off match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2018-2019 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Monday evening.
Manuel scored the only goal of the match in the 21st minute and thereafter U Mumba defended well to seal their win and all the three points.
U Mumba now has four points from this win and the draw with Karnatak SA earlier. Customs who had earlier defeated Karnatak SA, have three points from two games. HDFC Bank the fourth team in the group opens their campaign against Customs on Wednesday.
