Hero Indian Super League (ISL) side Mumbai City FC have today announced that the club has agreed a transfer for 25-year old centre-back Bikramjit Singh to I-League club Mohun Bagan.

The defender signed for the Islanders last summer but did not make a competitive appearance for the club. Bikramjit returns to his former side Mohun Bagan, having previously donned their colours between 2016-2018.

This was Bikramjit's first season in the Hero ISL. He was behind Joyner Laurence in the pecking order, while Lucian Goian has cemented the spot in the other central defence position.

Mohun Bagan are placed sixth on the table with 15 points, six short of leaders Chennai City FC. The biggest worry is their goal difference, which is just one, as the defence has leaked 12 goals in 10 games. It remains to be seen if Bagan, who are expected to join the Indian Super League (ISL) bandwagon next season, are helped with Bikramjit Singh's arrival.
