The public health facilities provided by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) are now being enhanced with the integration of technology.

The civic body has taken a significant step towards digital services. The BMC has made a 'health chatbot' facility available for the health benefit of its citizens.

These digital services were inaugurated on Monday, December 15, by the State's (Maharashtra) Minister of Information Technology and Cultural Affairs, and Guardian Minister of Mumbai Suburban District, Ashish Shelar.

As part of its digital initiative, the BMC has made a chatbot facility available to citizens for the health sector.

Through this digital initiative, efforts are being made to increase transparency in the health sector, while also improving the reach and efficiency of healthcare services.

The civic body commissioner and administrator Bhushan Gagrani had given instructions to make public health-related information easily and digitally accessible.

With the provision of services through digital means, citizens will have access to information in a very transparent manner.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is increasingly utilizing information technology in its operations.

As part of this, this initiative taken by the health department to provide online digital services and up-to-date information will prove important for citizens.

These increasingly technology-friendly initiatives will save citizens' time and will also be crucial for making decisions during health emergencies.

The chatbot number 9892993368 has been made available to provide citizens with information ranging from preventive healthcare to comprehensive health services.

Under this initiative, information will also be available regarding disease awareness, health campaigns, nearby healthcare facilities, registration information, health certificates, and licenses. Along with this, information will be available regarding online appointment booking at health centers, application details for birth and death certificates, marriage registration information, disability certificates, health licenses, and licenses related to maternity homes, as well as online registration and service registration information.

Meanwhile, a website and dashboard for healthcare facilities will also be made available in the near future.
