Navi Mumbai registers 102 new COVID-19 cases, recovery rate touches 95%

102 new COVID-19 cases were found in Navi Mumbai taking the casesload up to 49,289 while two people have lost there lives.

Navi Mumbai reported 102 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday (December 9) talking the tally up to 49,289. While 46,954 people have made a complete recovery from this disease, two deaths have been reported and the death toll now stands at 1,005. At present 1,330 patients are undergoing treatment in Navi Mumbai. While the recovery rate is at 95 per cent.

On Wednesday, 21 new cases were found in Belapur, 20 in Nerul, 14 in Vashi, 13 in Turbhe, 11 in Koparkhairane, six in Ghansoli, 14 in Airoli and three in Digha.

While, the recovered patients are 24 from Belapur, 11 from Nerul, nine from Vashi, nine from Turbhe, nine from Koparkhairane, four from Ghansoli and 27 from Airoli.

Maharashtra reported 4,981 new COVID-19 cases, 5,111 recoveries and 75 deaths on Wednesday (December 9), taking the total number of cases in the state to 18,64,348. There are 73,166 active cases in the state and 17,42,191 patients have recovered so far. The death toll is at 47,902 in Maharashtra.

In total 1,14,47,723 people have been tested in Maharashtra. The states recovery rate is 93.45 per cent, while the mortality rate is 2.57 per cent. Currently, 5,105 people are institutional quarantine and 5,43,091 are home quarantine.

Meanwhile, India reported 31,522 new COVID-19 cases, 37,725 recoveries and 412 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the tally up to 97,67,372 according to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday (December 9). While in total 92,53,306 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,41,772 in the country. At present, there are 3,72,293 active cases. According to the ICMR, 15,07,59,726 samples have been tested up to December 9.
