Navi Mumbai registers 151 new COVID-19 cases

151 new COVID-19 cases were found in Navi Mumbai on Thursday (November 26) while two people have lost their lives.

Navi Mumbai reported 151 COVID-19 cases on Thursday (November 26) talking the tally up to 47,701. While 45,166 people have made a complete recovery from this disease, two people have lost their lives and the death toll now stands at 971. At present 1,564 patients are undergoing treatment in Navi Mumbai. While the recovery rate is at 95 per cent.

On Thursday, 40 new cases were found in Belapur, 29 in Nerul, 26 in Vashi, 19 in Turbhe, 13 in Koparkhairane, seven in Ghansoli, 12 in Airoli and five in Digha. While, 94 people have completely recovered from which is 17 from Belapur, 26 from Nerul, 19 from Vashi, 13 from Turbhe, 13 from Koparkhairane, seven Ghansoli, 12 from Airoli and five from Digha.

With the number of cases in the area increasing, there was a chatter to re-open COVID care centres. However, Navi Mumbai municipal corporation has assured that there are a sufficient number of beds available and thus there is no need to open COVID care centres in Navi Mumbai.

Maharashtra reported 6,406 new COVID-19 cases, 4,815 recoveries and 65 death on Thursday (November 26) taking the total number of cases in the state to 18,02,365. The total number of recovered patients in Maharashtra are 16,68,538. While the death toll is at 46,813 in Maharashtra. There are 85,963 active cases in the state.

Meanwhile, on November 23 Maharashtra government made it mandatory to all the travellers who are coming from Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa and Gujarat have to carry COVID negative report, which has to be 72 hours prior or has to do RT-PCR test at the airport at their own expense.
