Mumbai: 350 TV artists, crew members in a vaccination drive conducted by Fortis Hospital

Fortis Hospital, Kalyan along with Rashmi Sharma Telefilms organized a vaccination drive for television artists and their crew at Ramdev Studios, Naigaon. Over 350 people were vaccinated in a day as part of this drive. Celebrities namely Jayati Bhatia, Sneha Jain, Rashmi Sharma, Jigyasha Singh, Simba Nagpal, Jaswir Kaur, and Akanksha Juneja, took their 1st COVID-19 vaccine shot at the drive today.

Fortis Hospital has been actively spearheading the vaccination program in Kalyan, and the neighbouring areas. The hospital has taken a multi-pronged approach to ensure more and more people learn about vaccination and get the required defence against coronavirus. Apart from providing vaccination at their hospitals, they are partnering with housing societies, corporates, and NGOs to conduct vaccination drives.

Dr Supriya Amey, Facility Director, Fortis Hospital Kalyan, who spearheaded this initiative said, “We aim to vaccinate as many people as possible while ensuring their safety. Today’s drive was another progressive such step in this direction. Vaccination provides immense immunity, even if people get infected the vaccine ensures the severity of the infection is reduced, possibly eliminating the need for hospitalization. Importantly, this is our best defence against COVID19. As more and more people get vaccinated, we can rest assured that we will be able to lessen the burden of the pandemic on our nation and its citizens”.

Speaking at the occasion, Actress Sheetal Thakur said, “I am happy to have finally gotten vaccinated and I would like to encourage other people to do the same as there is nothing to fear. This is for your own safety and the safety of your family, co-workers and friends. Vaccination is the key to create a safe environment for all of us.”

Adding to this, Actress Jayati Bhatia said, “I was told that my body already had developed antibodies. I still decided to get vaccinated, not just for my sake but also for my co-workers' safety and well-being. That way, we all will be safe and be less worried. So, if it's available to you, be responsible and get your vaccine shot.”

To ensure that the process of vaccine is done with the highest quality and adherence to all the municipal corporation norms, the hospital has devised protocols for smooth execution of the drive.
