Navi Mumbai reported 56 COVID-19 cases on Monday, February 8 talking the tally up to 53,511. While 51,594 people have made a complete recovery from this disease, two deaths have been reported and the death toll now stands at 1,094. At present, 823 patients are undergoing treatment in Navi Mumbai. While the recovery rate is at 96 per cent.

On Monday, six new cases were found in Belapur, 11 in Nerul, three in Vashi, nine in Turbhe, 14 in Koparkhairane, seven in Ghansoli and six in Airoli.

While, the recovered patients are four from Belapur, nine from Vashi, four from Turbhe, three from Koparkhairane, 10 from Ghansoli and 13 from Airoli.

On Monday, February 8, Maharashtra recorded 2,216 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus. This propelled the state's COVID-19 tally to 20,46,287. Currently, there are 34,720 active cases in the state. With 3,423 COVID-19 patients discharged in the day, the number of recovered soared to 19,58,971.

More than 15 people from the state have lost their lives to this disease in the last 24 hours while the total has now mounted to 51,325. While 1,67,764 persons are under home quarantine, 1,976 others have been admitted to institutional quarantine centres. The COVID-19 recovery rate and fatality rate in the state stand at 95.73 per cent, and 2.51 per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, India reported 9,110 new cases, 14,016 recoveries and 78 deaths taking the tally up to 1,08,47,304 on Monday, February 8. According to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in total 1,05,48,521 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,55,158 in the country. At present, there are 1,43,625 active cases. According to the ICMR, 20,25,87,752 samples have been tested up to February 8. So far, 62,59,008 healthcare workers have been vaccinated in the country.
