Navi Mumbai reported 57 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, February 9 talking the tally up to 53,568. While 53,568 people have made a complete recovery from this disease, one death has been reported and the death toll now stands at 1,095. At present, 819 patients are undergoing treatment in Navi Mumbai. While the recovery rate is at 96 per cent.
On Tuesday, eight new cases were found in Belapur, six in Nerul, nine in Vashi, seven in Turbhe, eight in Koparkhairane, 12 in Ghansoli and seven in Airoli.
While, the recovered patients are 10 from Belapur, nine from Nerul, 11 from Vashi, six from Turbhe, six from Koparkhairane, 10 from Ghansoli, seven from Airoli and one from Digha.
On Tuesday, February 9, Maharashtra recorded 2,515 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus. This propelled the state's COVID-19 tally to 20,48,802. Currently, there are 34,640 active cases in the state. With 2,554 COVID-19 patients discharged in the day, the number of recovered soared to 19,61,525.
More than 35 people from the state have lost their lives to this disease in the last 24 hours while the total has now mounted to 51,360. The COVID-19 recovery rate and fatality rate in the state stand at 95.74 per cent, and 2.51 per cent respectively.
Meanwhile, India reported 11,067 new cases, 13,423 recoveries and 94 deaths taking the tally up to 1,08,58,371 on Tuesday, February 9. According to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in total 1,05,61,608 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,55,252 in the country. At present, there are 1,41,511 active cases. According to the ICMR, 20,33,24,655 samples have been tested up to February 9. So far, 66,11,561 healthcare workers have been vaccinated in the country.
