Navi Mumbai reported 84 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, December 30 talking the tally up to 50,935. While 48,972 people have made a complete recovery from this disease, two deaths have been reported and the death toll now stands at 1,050. At present, 913 patients are undergoing treatment in Navi Mumbai. While the recovery rate is at 96 per cent.

On Wednesday, 12 new cases were found in Belapur, 16 in Nerul, 12 in Vashi, eight in Turbhe, eight in Koparkhairane, 12 in Ghansoli, 12 in Airoli and four from Digha.

While, the recovered patients are 17 from Belapur, 30 from Nerul, nine from Vashi, seven from Turbhe, six from Koparkhairane, six from Ghansoli and 71 from Airoli.

On Wednesday, December 30, Maharashtra recorded 3,537 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus. This propelled the state's COVID-19 tally to 19,28,603. Currently, there are 53,066 active cases in the state. With 4,913 COVID-19 patients discharged in the day, the number of recovered soared to 18,24,934.

In Maharashtra, 70 people have lost their lives to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. A total of 49,463 people in the state have died owing to the contagious disease in the state till date. While 2,80,682 persons are under home quarantine, 3,127 others have been admitted to institutional quarantine centres. The COVID-19 recovery rate and fatality rate in the state stand at 94.62 per cent, and 2.56 per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, India reported 21,821 new cases, 26,139 recoveries and 299 deaths taking the tally up to 1,02,66,674 on Wednesday, December 30. According to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in total 98,60,280 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,48,738 in the country. At present, there are 2,57,656 active cases. According to the ICMR, 17,20,49,274 samples have been tested up to December 30.
