Mumbai - All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD) has written a letter to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis seeking the resignation of Maharashtra Pharmacy Council president Jagannath Shinde.

Shinde had passed a proposal saying that after six months of training, non pharmacists would be declared as pharmacists. This has not gone down well with the AIOCD, pharmacy students, teachers as well as pharmacists. Pharmacist Sashank Mhatre who is part of the ongoing protest at Azad Maidan has warned that if their demands are not met, the association will intensify its protest.
