The dreadful accident took place on February 7

On February 7, 2018, Dravita Singh boarded a CSTM-bound train from Kalyan. When the train reached Masjid station, it slowed down. Meanwhile, Singh went near the door to attend a phone call. The moment she reached the door, a thief who was hiding behind the pole struck her with a stick.

The impact was such she fell on another track where a fast train was approaching. With all her strength, she moved away from the track but her limbs were trapped under the wheels. Immediately, she was admitted to the Bhatia Hospital.

Operating on her for free will not lessen her pain but this is the only thing we could do. The operation was successful and now she is recovering,” Dr Rajeev Boudhankar, CEO, Bhatia Hospital.
