Mumbai’s civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been appealing to the citizens of Mumbai to contact the wardroom if they need any help regarding COVID-19.
The civic body had earlier implemented the decentralized hospital bed management system from June 2020 in order to manage the various problem with regards to the pandemic. These ward rooms are reportedly functioning at the level of all the 24 divisional offices. Moreover, the wardrooms are touted to provide faster, easier and more effective health care to the patients suffering from the coronavirus.

According to sources, in each ward war room, medical officers and other necessary staff are working continuously for three sessions on a 24x7 principle.
On the other hand, earlier on March 31, the BMC released new guidelines for home isolation of patients as coronavirus cases continue to mount in the city. In the revised guidelines, BMC has also directed to restrict the movement of home-isolated patients within their residence in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19. In addition, the civic body also listed out specific warning signs to watch out for immediate hospital transfer of patients under home isolation.
