The Central Government has taken an important decision to make the treatment of patients more convenient at Kharghar Tata Hospital in Navi Mumbai. In view of the increasing number of cancer patients at Kharghar’s Tata Hospital, the number of beds has been increased from 150 to 930 and the manpower has been increased from 1000 to 2405.


Tata Hospital is a place of refuge for many people living with cancer in Mumbai. Patients come from all over the country and due to long waiting lists prompt treatment is sometimes delayed. Now with this decision, the waiting list for the treatment of the patient will almost come to an end and many patients will be saved by getting timely treatment.

Many families will get relief from this decision of the Central Government. Patients from all over the country and not just Maharashtra come for cancer treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital, Kharghar. Seeing the increasing number of patients, MLA Mahesh Baldi requested Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to increase the number of patient beds and manpower required for this hospital as per the demand of Tata Hospital.


In this regard, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari spoke with Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Science and Technology. After which the number of manpower in Tata Hospital will be increased to 2405 and the number of patient beds will be increased to 930.
