Mumbai - Technology upgradation is very important when it comes to hospitals as it is closely linked to human lives.
Operation theatres in KEM, Sion and Nair hospitals will be converted into modular operation theatres. A meeting was called by municipal commissioner Ajoy Mehta on Thursday. 5 OTs in KEM will be turned into modular operation theatres while Sion and Nair hospitals will have two modular operation theatres each. The theatres will have steel wall with automatic doors, laminated flooring free of bacteria and fungus. A proposal of Rs 19 crore has been put forth in regard to installing gas cylinders of oxygen and nitrogen for these modern operation theatres.
