One of the patients stated that he was admitted in the hospital at 2:00 pm but wasn't served anything until 10:30 pm. They always have to ask for food and most of the times what is served is inedible. One of the patients in the isolation ward said that the hospital staffers were rude towards them.

Refuting the claims, Additional Commissioner of Health in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Suresh Kakani stated that food is served as per the diet plan hence it may be less tasty. During such illnesses, they should avoid outside or spicy food. They are not compromising with the quality of food served at civic-run hospitals.
