On Friday Maharashtra recorded 8,308 cases of coronavirus and 258 deaths. 2,217 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, the total number of cured cases stands at 1,60,357 and the total number of active cases stands at 1,20,480.
The recovery rate of Maharashtra is at 54.81 per cent and the case fatality rate is at 3.91 per cent. More than 7 lakh people are in-home quarantine and more than 40 thousand people are in institutional quarantine. Maharashtra is one of the worst affected states in India due to coronavirus. In the last 24 hours, India recorded more than 34 thousand cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours and more than 600 deaths were reported. More than 6 lakh people have recovered from coronavirus.
