Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that this government is committed to provide better health facilities to the people of the state and will convert district general hospitals into super specialty hospitals in every district. The inauguration ceremony of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation Super Specialty Hospital was organised by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. 


On this occasion, Union Minister of State for Panchayat Raj Kapil Patil, MP Shrikant Shinde, Public Works Minister Ravindra Chavan, MLA Kumar Ailani, MLA Dr. Balaji Kinikar, Administrator and Commissioner Aziz Shaikh etc. were present. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that a super specialty hospital is the need of the hour. Understanding this need, this government is making every possible effort to provide quality healthcare to the citizens.


The first cashless hospital was launched in Thane district, followed by the second super specialty hospital of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation with cashless services. Similarly, in a few days we will also inaugurate a super specialty hospital providing cashless services in Mira-Bhayandar.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, "After being admitted to the hospital, every member of the family has to face financial worries, but now the government has increased the scope of Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana from INR 1.5 lakh to INR 5 lakh, now no one has to face financial worries." There is no need to worry about the cost of treatment of your patient, treatment up to INR 5 lakh will be provided free of cost by the government.


To focus on strengthening the health system in the state, work on a cancer hospital is underway in Thane, Mumbra. At the same time, the state government will get assistance of INR 20 lakh through Asian Development Bank. The government is trying its best for women and women's health through various means like Lake Ladki Yojana, 50% free discount in ST, health checkup of 4 crore women.


The work of strengthening the primary health centres of the state will also start soon. Efforts are being made to complete the 900-bed District General Hospital in Thane by the end of December.
