List of medical centres and chemists in Mumbai where COVID-19 medicines are available

Ever since March, Mumbai has been the major hub for the spread of the novel coronavirus. It was thought that the city was on its way to improvement when it recorded less than 1,000 cases on Tuesday. But on Wednesday, the city recorded 1,374 fresh Covid-19 cases and has reached a tally of 96,474. There have also been 62 new fatalities in the city taking the death toll to 5,467.

The past three months have not been easy for Mumbaikars. The health administration and frontline workers are working hard every day to fight the deadly virus. Amidst all this chaos, the city has reported several complaints of a black market running for the antiviral drugs of Remedesivir and Tocilizumab. These antiviral drugs are used by government and private hospitals for treating Covid-19 infected patients. There were reportedly several citizens lined up outside certain medical centres where these antivirals were sold being in black across the city. 

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has taken strict measures to curb the black market of coronavirus drugs in Mumbai. As per media reports, the Cabinet Minister for FDA of Maharashtra, Rajendra Shingane had also carried out raids regarding the matter. Following this, the FDA has now released an official list of pharmacies and medical centres that are selling the antiviral drug and injections in Mumbai.
