The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of May 30 announced a fresh set of guidelines for Lockdown 5.0. Under the same, the lockdown has been extended with June 30, 2020. During this phase, there will be constructive steps taken to phase out the lockdown so that normalcy can return. The phased reopening will happen in areas outside the containment zones.
As of May 29, there were 1,191 cases recorded in Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC). The strategy that KDMC is adopting to curb the spread of coronavirus is to focus on the slums. They are also doing an active survey of the slums to make sure that they are able to check the spread of COVID-19 in these areas.
