The decline in the number of corona patients continued on Tuesday. 139 new corona patients were reported in the state on Tuesday while 720 patients have recovered. It seems that more patients are recovering from COVID-19.  


The rate of recovery of patients in the state has been at 98.13 percent. No death of a single patient due to Corona has been reported in the state on Tuesday. 97 corona patients have died since January 1 till date. At present the death rate in the state is 1.81 percent. Out of the 8.70 cr laboratory samples tested till date, 81,66,27 (9.39 percent) patients have been found. 


The number of active patients in the state is 3,351. Similarly, 1,112 patients of corona subtype XBB.1.16 have been detected in the state so far. Out of them 10 patients have died. Samples of 107 passengers tested positive at the international airport have been sent for genetic sequencing.


Four new patients of H3N2 in the state

Four new patients of 'H3N2' have been reported in the state on Tuesday. Therefore, the number of H3N2 patients has increased to 471. Also, 55 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals on Tuesday.

  • Patients under home isolation – 3932 (95 percent)
  • Hospitalised patients – 3735 (5 percent)
  • Non-ICU patients – 159 (4 percent)
  • Patients in intensive care unit – 38 (1 percent)

  • 19 to 25 April – 5549
