The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) started Mobile Vaccination Center in the city in a refurbished bus on Monday, June 7.

This move is aimed at vaccinating the maximum number of senior citizens and specially-abled citizens before the anticipated third wave. Through the mobile inoculation drive, vaccines were given to the citizens of Mahatma Gandhi Leprosy Colony at Kopri.

It has been observed that it was becoming difficult for senior citizens and persons with disabilities to go to the vaccination centre and also wait in the long queues for hours. As a result, Thane mayor Naresh Mhaske commenced this drive bringing relief to those unable to travel or wait at the vaccination centres for long.
