Considering the physical condition of kidney patients, it is easier for patients to get treatment at nearby dialysis centres. Therefore, Sri Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust has decided to implement a plan to provide blood purification treatment to at least 300 patients every day through charities and charitable organisations in various parts of Mumbai. Accordingly, after starting the blood purification centre at Prabhadevi and Goregaon, now the blood purification centre will be started at Chembur.


Day by day the number of kidney disease patients is increasing in the state. This disease requires long-term treatment like blood purification. But since this treatment is expensive, many patients abandon it partially. In this background, at least 300 patients will be provided with blood purification treatment every day in three shifts on 100 machines by Shri Siddhivinayak Ganapati Mandir Trust in Mumbai.


Nyasa has decided to implement this scheme through other charities or charitable organisations in various parts of Mumbai. Accordingly, after opening a 12-bed blood purification centre at Appasaheb Marathe Marg Prabhadevi in Municipal Corporation premises by Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust and 8-bed blood purification centre at Goregaon in association with Prabodhan Sanstha in three sessions, now it has been decided to start a blood purification centre at Chembur along with Sharad Narayan Acharya Medical Center of Sufla Trust. This centre will have 11 blood purification machines.

10 thousand patients will benefit in a year

The centre at Chembur will be run in three sessions. Accordingly, 10,296 patients will be purified in 3 sessions and 11 per session in a year. It is proposed to charge INR 250 from patients there.


93 lakhs per annum

The blood purification centre will be run by a third party organisation and after deducting the fee of INR 250 from the patients, the remaining amount will be given by the trust. Therefore, the annual burden of 93 lakhs will be approximately INR 900 per blood purification. For this, a provision of INR 1.50 crore Has been made in the budget of the trust for 2022-23.
