Navi Mumbai reported 139 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, March 4 talking the tally up to 55,957. While 53,403 people have made a complete recovery from this disease, one death has been reported and the death toll now stands at 1,124. At present 1,430 patients are undergoing treatment in Navi Mumbai. While the recovery rate is at 96 per cent.

On Thursday, 28 new cases were found in Belapur, 21 in Nerul, 17 in Vashi, 13 in Turbhe, nine in Koparkhairane, 15 in Ghansoli, 32 in Airoli and four in Digha.

While, the recovered patients are 15 from Belapur, 20 from Nerul, 24 from Vashi, 23 from Turbhe, 12 from Koparkhairane, nine from Ghansoli and seven from Airoli.

On Thursday, March 4, Maharashtra recorded 8,998 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus. This propelled the state's COVID-19 tally to 21,88,183. Currently, there are 85,144 active cases in the state. With 6,135 COVID-19 patients discharged in the day, the number of recovered soared to 20,49,484.

More than 60 people from the state have lost their lives to this disease in the last 24 hours while the total has now mounted to 52,340. While 3,91,288 persons are under home quarantine, 4,109 others have been admitted to institutional quarantine centres. The COVID-19 recovery rate and fatality rate in the state stand at 93.66 per cent, and 2.39 per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, India reported 16,838 new cases, 13,819 recoveries and 113 deaths taking the tally up to 1,11,73,761 on Thursday, March 4. According to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in total 1,08,39,894 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,57,548 in the country. At present, there are 1,76,319 active cases. So far, 1,80,05,503 healthcare and frontline workers have been vaccinated in the country.
