Navi Mumbai reported 140 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, March 7 talking the tally up to 56,381. While 53,712 people have made a complete recovery from this disease, two death has been reported and the death toll now stands at 1,129. At present 1,540 patients are undergoing treatment in Navi Mumbai. While the recovery rate is at 96 per cent.

On Sunday, 22 new cases were found in Belapur, 23 in Nerul, 24 in Vashi, six in Turbhe, 13 in Koparkhairane, 18 in Ghansoli, 31 in Airoli and three in Digha.

While, the recovered patients are seven from Belapur, 12 from Nerul, 23 from Vashi, nine from Turbhe, 23 from Koparkhairane, 12 from Ghansoli, 12 from Airoli and three from Digha.

On Sunday, March 7, Maharashtra recorded 11,141 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus. This propelled the state's COVID-19 tally to 22,19,727. Currently, there are 97,983 active cases in the state. With 6,013 COVID-19 patients discharged in the day, the number of recovered soared to 20,68,044.

More than 38 people from the state have lost their lives to this disease in the last 24 hours while the total has now mounted to 52,478. While 4,39,055 persons are under home quarantine, 4,650 others have been admitted to institutional quarantine centres. The COVID-19 recovery rate and fatality rate in the state stand at 93.17 per cent, and 2.36 per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, India reported 18,599 new cases, 14,278 recoveries and 97 deaths taking the tally up to 1,12,29,398 on Sunday, March 7. According to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in total 1,08,82,798 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,57,853 in the country. At present, there are 1,88,747 active cases.
