One new coronavirus case reported in Mumbai's Dharavi

According to the latest information shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Dadar also reported only one case on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases in the area to 4,409.

Mumbai’s slum-dominated area Dharavi reported only one COVID19 case for the third time in a week. Earlier, on November 4 and 5, the area had reported a single case, and today, with the addition of this new case, the COVID-19 tally has increased to 3,606.

As many as 3,237 patients have been cured so far, leaving just 58 active cases in the densely populated area. According to the latest information shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Dadar also reported only one case on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases in the area to 4,409.

The active cases now stand at 115 and 4,125 persons have been discharged from hospitals and various COVID Care Centres after recovering from the viral infection.

Mahim also witnessed a decline in the number of cases as three fresh cases were reported from the area. With the addition of these, cumulative positive cases for the locality stand at 4,162. Currently, there are 283 active cases in Mahim, whereas 3,737 infected persons have recovered so far.

Overall, the G/North Ward, which includes Dharavi, Mahim and Dadar, registered five new cases on Tuesday, and with this, the total cases in the ward have reached 12,177. So far G/North ward has 456 active cases and 11,099 recoveries, as per information provided by the civic body.
