What’s the story

A 26-year-old woman delivered a baby girl on platform 3 of Mumbai's Dadar Station last night. Salma Shaikh delivered a baby girl and a doctor from the 'One Rupee Clinic' service helped the lady.

One Rupee Clinic to the rescue

Salma was attended by Dr Prajwalit, the on-duty doctor, a female GRP officer and few others and that’s why the procedure was smooth according to One Rupee Clinic chief, Dr Rahul Ghule.

The woman was on her way to KEM Hospital but went into labour on her way. She gave birth to the baby in the ladies compartment and was later taken to the hospital,” Dr Rahul Ghule.

There was a similar case in Ghatkhopar earlier and One Rupee Clinic was available to help the person in need. Looks like the service is turning out to be fruitful.
