Pune reported 328 new COVID-19 cases Pune, 318 recoveries and four deaths on Monday, February 22, taking the total number of cases up to 1,98,292. According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), there are 2,902 active cases while 1,90,560 patients have recovered so far. The death toll in Pune is 4,830.

As many as 4,414 tests were conducted taking the total count to 11,03,548.

On Monday, February 22, Maharashtra recorded 5,210 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus. This propelled the state's COVID-19 tally to 21,06,094. Currently, there are 53,113 active cases in the state. With 5,035 COVID-19 patients discharged in the day, the number of recovered soared to 19,99,982.

More than 18 people from the state have lost their lives to this disease in the last 24 hours while the total has now mounted to 51,806. While 2,24,054 persons are under home quarantine, 1,891 others have been admitted to institutional quarantine centres. The COVID-19 recovery rate and fatality rate in the state stand at 94.96 per cent, and 2.46 per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, India reported 10,584 new cases, 13,255 recoveries and 78 deaths taking the tally up to 1,10,16,434 on Monday, February 22. According to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in total 1,07,12,665 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,56,463 in the country. At present, there are 1,47,306 active cases. So far, 1,17,45,552 healthcare workers have been vaccinated in the country.
