Seven Hills Hospital preapares 300 bed quarantine centre

BMC today shared that there is a new quartine facility being prepared at the Seven Hills Hospital. Taking to their Twitter the civic-body shared that Municipal Commissioner & Addl. Municipal Commissioner (WS) visited Seven Hills Hospital today, where a quarantine centre for 300 people & isolation facility with 30 beds is being prepared.

They also mentioned that as of now there are 233 beds in the city out of which 78 are in Kasturba Hospital and another 50 are in the BPT Hospital. Furthermore, 238 patients have been admitted in Kasturba's isolation ward.

BMC in the tweet also mentioned that there are seven are high-risk patients in the city and are thus placed in isolation and testing. Apart from that, there are seven people have been asked to be in-home quarantine for the next 14 days. 

There are four positive cases in the city as of now, of which one person is from Thane.CM Uddhav Thackeray has advised people to avoid large gathering and places that are crowded. There is also a directive issued to shut down swimming pools, gyms and movie halls till March 31. Malls and restaurants can be open for now. He has also suggested that employers should encourage employees to work from home.

So far there are 17 confirmed cases from Maharasthra. The maximum number of cases at the moment are from Pune. As a part of the precautionary measure, all people landing on the airport are being screened. So far 217,636 passengers have been screened at the Mumbai Airport. 

BMC has also mentioned that it has five teams on ground for surveillance of the area.
