Accused Guru Ashish builder has been asked to submit the report by CM Devendra Fadnavis for duping Patra chawl residents by not revedevloping their buildings and by not paying their house rent. Fadnavis has asked the builder to submit the report in next 15 days. If the builder fails to submit the report, then the project will be taken over by the government.
Under the pretext of the joint venture, the government has accused the builder of duping 672 residents and MHADA of Rs. 1 crore. It is also being said that builder Guru Ashish is sitting on the project since 2009 and swiftly pulled out a scam worth crores. CM recently took a meeting about the same with residents, builder and MHADA officials where he asked the builder to submit the report stating reasons for delaying the project. CM added that ready flats will be handed over to the residents and he has ordered the builder to give the pending rent to the residents. Mumbai Live was the first to report about the Patra Chawl scam and followed up the news until CM intervened.
