The State government has taken an important decision to boost the affordable housing scheme in Mumbai. For this, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has stayed the hike in ready reckoner rates on open space for a month.
The government had increased the ready reckoner rates by 5.86 per cent in the state and 3.95 per cent in Mumbai. This had resulted into rise in the costs of housing units in the city.
The construction sector was worst hit by this ready reckoner rates. With this decision of the chief minister, realty developers and home buyers have heaved a sigh of relief at least for a month.
